As anticipation builds across the United Kingdom for the Bolesworth International CSI4*, the organizing committee is busy—very busy—preparing for much more than just a horse show.

Among the full slate of events, which include international show jumping and dressage competition, Bolesworth will present the Bolesworth Elite Sport Horse Auction.

Go here for an exclusive interview with Bolesworth organizer Nina Barbour about plans for the 2017 Bolesworth International CSI4*.

To be held on the evening of Friday, June 16, 2017 at 9pm, the auction will be preceded by two separate previews, and notably, by a parade of stallions in the main arena. The stallion Ramiro B will be paraded in hand, and Big Star, as well as the great Arko III, are set to make appearances and be paraded under saddle. It will be an unprecedented opportunity to see the two champion mounts of Great Britain’s Nick Skelton in the ring together.

The opportunity to own a future star will be available in, Lot 19 an embryo by Big Star x Argentinus. In keeping with British stars, Lot 17 is an Utouchable x Nabab de Reve foal—that’s a half-sibling to Scott Brash’s Hello Sanctos.

The 2016 auction was feted a success, with the top lot, the much talked about colt foal BP Gone Global, sold for £30,000 to Emma Augier de Moussac of the Czech Republic. Gone Global, by Quidam Junior, is a three-quarter brother to the Rio Olympics veteran MHS Going Global.

A similar opportunity is offered at the 2017 auction in BP Golden Moments, a colt foal with the MHS dam line.
