Australian Riders Named To WEG 2018 Long-List

Equestrian Australia recently announced, on their official website, its long-list of show jumping horse and rider riders combinations for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Tryon, USA, September 10=23.

“We congratulate all riders on their nomination to the Long List and wish them the best of luck with their preparations in the coming months.”

The list of athletes named are:

  • Scott Keach – Fedor
  • Jamie Kermond – Yandoo Oaks Constellation
  • Billy Raymont – Oaks Redwood
  • Edwina Tops-Alexander – California, Lintea Tequila and Inca Boy Van T Vianhof
  • Rowan Willis – Blue Movie

The EA will announce its short-list by May 6th.

Australia’s last notable show jumping team result at the WEG was a 7th in 2010 in Kentucky, with the squad of Matt Williams, Chris Chugg, James Paterson-Robinson, and Edwina Tops-Alexander. Tops-Alexander would be the highest ranked Australian rider at those Games, earning an individual 13th position.
