Ireland’s Bertram Allen won the €30,000 Prize of Geze GmbH on Saturday November 19, 2016, in Stuttgart, Germany.
The 1.50m class with winning round designed by the Belgian course designer Luc Musette, saw a field of 47 riders where 15 advanced to the next round.
Allen rode the 8-year-old KWPN stallion Dino W (Berlin X l’Amour Z), finishing in 40.18 seconds that was nearly a second ahead of Colombia’s Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo’s time.
Lopez Lizarazo was then sent to the runner-up spot, scoring a time of 41.01 seconds on the 9-year-old KWPN mare Cuplandra (Upgrade X Metall).
German riders kept their good results, Philip Rüping stopped the timers in 41.12 seconds aboard the 9-year-old Oldemburg mare Clinta (Clinton X Lord Pezi).
Belgium’s Olivier Philippaerts and the 14-year-old Zangersheide gelding H&M Challenge v. Begijnakker Z finished 4th in a time of 41.23 seconds while 5th place went to France’s Penelope Leprevost and Ratina d’la Rousserie in 41.51 seconds.
