Ireland’s Bertram Allen won the €62,000 Audi Prize on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Indoor Brabant CSI5* in The Netherlands.

It was a 1.55m class with jump-off which saw a field of 38 starters. From that, 11 would advance into the shortened course and six completed a double clear score.

Allen rode the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding Quiet Easy 4 (Quidam’s Rubin X Zapateado) completing their round in the fastest time od 34.73 seconds.

The runner-up position went to Italy’s Lorenzo de Luca and the 10-year-old BWP Stallion Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker X Fetiche du Pas) being almost two seconds slower in 36.46 seconds.

Belgium’s Gudrun Patteet finished in 3rd place aboard the 11-year-old SBS gelding Sea Coast Atlantic (Schilling X Aramis de la Cense) stopping the timers in 36.92 seconds.

The best home rider was Holland’s Wout-Jan van der Schans, who finished in 4th place riding the 14-year-old KWPN gelding Capetown (Oklund X Carlino) in 37.66 seconds while 5th place went to Germany’s Ludger Beerbaum and the 18-year-old KWPN stallion Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet X I Love You) in 37.89 seconds.
