Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al Sharbatly has acquired two exciting new mounts this month. Sharbatly will now take over the reigns on the 12 year old gelding Domingo and the 13 year old stallion Vleut, formerly known as Guccio under Edwina Tops-Alexander. Domingo earned recognition with Germany’s Daniel Deusser before Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels took over the ride last summer. According to sources, Sharbatly will compete Domingo at the Global Champions Tour event in Antwerp, Belgium in two weeks time and will follow with the Global Champions Tour event in Shanghai, China.

Edwina Tops-Alexander’s stunning black Dutch-bred stallion Vleut, formerly known as Guccio, will also be seen under Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al Sharbatly. The horse, which was owned Edwina Alexander as well as Tops Horse Trading B.V J.A.P. and Guccio Gucci S.P.A, will now compete under his original name, Vleut, which the stallion competed under with the Netherland’s Maikel van der Vleuten. The 13 year old stallion by Quick Star made his comeback in the international rings in the autumn of 2014. Earning top results with Australia’s leading rider, Edwina and Guccio finished third in the 2013 Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Monte Carlo and finished second in the 2012 Grand Prix of La Coruna after winning the Equita Masters in Lyon in 2011.
