Continuing his successful North American fall tour, Ireland’s Conor Swail proved that he is still in winning form on Tuesday evening at The Royal Winter Fair Horse Show in Toronto, Canada. Swail entered the arena as last to go in the order to take first place in the $35,000 Jolera International Jumper Welcome aboard Martha Louise, and 11-year-old Swedish Warmblood mare (Maloubet De Pleville x Wolfgang) owned by Ariel and Sue Grange.

Swail, who placed 3rd earlier in the day with Cita in the $20,000 International Jumper Power & Speed, returned for the evening’s competition, which served as a warmup for Wednesday’s $129,000 Longines North American League FEI World Cup Jumping Grand Prix CSI4*.

The single round class saw a starting order of 23, with nine pairs jumping clear. From there it was a race to first place, and Swail’s winning time of 58.17 seconds blew most of the class away. Colombia’s Roberto Teran came closest in 59.70 seconds with Woklahoma, and Laura Kraut of the USA placed 3rd with Andretti S in 64.02 seconds. Fellow American Reed Kessler finished in 4th with her London Olympic partner Cylana.

The Royal Horse Show features international show jumping through Saturday, November 14th, along with a full slate of equestrian and livestock competitions. See a complete schedule at this link.
