Michael Whitaker & JB’s Hot Stuff. Ph. Liverpool
A world class field of show jumping and dressage stars are set to make their way north for the Liverpool International Horse Show.
Leading the way in the show jumping stakes is the legend that is John Whitaker along with his son Robert.
Twice winner of the prestigious Grand Prix and heading for a third-time success in the Hope Valley Grand Prix on New Year’s Eve is Irishman Billy Twomey who is always up for a battle-royal. He will be joined by fellow prolific Irish riders Conor Swail, Anthony Condon and Shane Breen.
Joining them is 21-year-old crowd favourite Jessica Mendoza and Amanda Derbyshire who has made a name for herself in the US riding Goldbreaker and Lady Maria BH before returning home to Britain for Olympia and Liverpool.
The line-up also incudes Italian star, Alberto Zorzi, stable jockey of Jan and Edwina Tops, who is at the heart of an Italian showjumping resurgence on the world stage. Emanuele Gaudiano is also returning to Liverpool having been a multiple winner over the last two years.
