Britain’s Ben Maher will compete with Jane Clark’s Cella for Team GBR today in the annual Furusiyya Nations Cup at Rome’s Piazza di Siena. Michael Whitaker will ride Viking and Joe Clee with ride Diablesse de Muze while World #1 Scott Brash will compete his Olympic mount Hello Sanctos
The third qualifier of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping 2014 Europe Division 1 League will take place at the Rome CSIO5* Piazza di Siena in Italy this Friday, 23 May attracting a field of eight teams.
The starting order, which was determined by a draw held in Rome, will be as follows:
1. France
2. The Netherlands
3. Great Britain
4. Germany
5. Qatar
6. Italy
7. Ukraine
8. Belgium
Five teams – France, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Ukraine – will be eligible for Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping points in Europe Division 1. France, the winner of last week’s qualifier at La Baule, is leading the Europe Division 1 standings after two event. The detailed standings are available here.
Friday’s competition will begin at 15.10 CEST (local time in Italy, GMT+2 hours) and will be broadcast live on FEI TV, the FEI’s official online video platform.
