Emanuele Gaudiano has started at horse shows in Hagen a.T.W. for the last 15 years. The Italian rider’s first show in Germany was the European Championships for young riders, and since then he has come back every year. And at Horses & Dreams meets Austria CSI4* this week, things could not have gone better for the 30 year old.
He has now caught his third win of the current competition week. He won the opening competition with Einstein, on Friday evening he won with Carlotta, and then on Saturday, April 29, 2017, the eight year old OS mare (Chaccomo x Cento) was once again his choice to start with, in the €25,4800 Prize of A. Rawie GmbH & Co. KG. 1.50m CSI4*.
In this international, two phase jumping competition of the big tour Gaudiano was able to keep his winning streak going by finishing with a phase 2 time of 28.69 seconds. He was just ahead of the Baden-Württemberg born German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher, who finished in 29.85 seconds aboard Cim Air, a 9-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Con Air x Carthago). In 3rd place was the Irishman Billy Twomey with Diaghilev, finishing with a very close 29.94 seconds. Enrique Gonzalez of Mexico was 4th with Chacna, and Janne-Freidrike Meyer-Zimmerman came 5th with Goja.
“I hope things keep going this way”, said Gaudiano about his successful week. “I have set high goals for myself on Monday; I definitely want to earn points in the grand prix for the DKB-Riders Tour.”
Gaudiano was mentioning the finale competition of Horses & Dreams, which will indeed take place on Monday, May 1, the final day of the competition. The grand prix is a part of the German-based DKB Riders Tour.
