On the opening day of the International Longines Horse Show of Lausanne CSI5*, Italy’s Emanuele Guadiano and the eight-year-old Oldenburg mare Carlotta 232 (Chaccomo x Cento) bested a field of 45 entries to win the 1.40m competition presented by the Jumping Owners Club.
On Thursday, September 14, 2017, Italy’s Uliano Vezzani designed the 12-obstacle-course for the feature class of the day. Eight combinations had faultless rides in the one-round speed class, with Guadiano producing the winning time of 66.29s.
Earlier on in the year, Guadiano swept the Horses & Dreams CSI4* competition with four consecutive victories within the span of a week.
For 2nd place, Great Britain’s Robert Whitaker and the ten-year-old gelding Cash Sent (Verdi x Niveau) finished with a time of 67.57s. Switzerland’s Daniel Etter and the 12-year-old Kheops du Roset CH (Kannan x Mistersman) finished in 69.92 for 3rd.
