After victory in New York, Bloomberg moves up from 205th to World No.113
The USA’s very own Georgina Bloomberg has made the biggest move on this month’s Longines World Top 200, after a terrific victory on home soil in New York. Taking home the $210,000 Central Park Grand Prix with her top mount Juvina, was all but perfect for the daughter of world-renowned New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In addition to winning the inaugural New York Grand Prix, Georgina and Juvina finished third in the Longines Grand Prix of Los Angeles only last week. These two top placements allowed the New York-native to jump up an impressive 92 spots on the Longines World Rankings.
As crucial part of the winning Nations Cup team in Gijon, Spain this summer, Bloomberg and Juvina have become a notable combination for the United States; who boast an impressive roster of established and rising talent. Bloomberg and Juvina also contributed to Team USA’s third place finish in the Furusiyya Nations Cup in Falsterbo, Sweden. With strong Nations Cup performances this season as well as a tremendous victory in New York this fall, Bloomberg is certainly one to watch.
