After the acquisition of GLOCK’s London N.O.P. and GLOCK’s Debalia GLOCK, the Dutch rider Gerco Schröder has another equine GLOCK star in his stables: GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc.
The grey gelding is an offspring of the famous Holsteiner stallion Clearway. GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc has been under the saddle of the famous dutch rider for only half a year now but he is developing great. “I have known Cognac for a long time since he was ridden by Maja Friberg in our stables and then my brother began competing with him on an international level. I started riding him in April 2014 and was thrilled right from the beginning. He has a lot of jumping capability, is very ambitious and constant. On the other hand he is very easy to handle and a friendly, good-natured horse. Just perfect!”
The results are already remarkable: a fifth place for the GLOCK duo at the world ranking competition of CSIO5*-NC Rome in May, the ninth rank at the Rabobank Championship of Rotterdam in June at the CSIO5*-NC Rotterdam, a third place in the Grand Prix of CSI3* Ommen in August, fourth place in the Grand Prix of CSI5* LGCT Lausanne in September, sixth place at the CSI5* Los Angeles Masters, fifth place at the CSIO5*-NC Queens Cup Trophy of Barcelona in October and fourth place at the CSI5*-W in Lyon at the beginning of November. “Cognac just started competing on an international level, so he has to gain more experience and we will do that together from now on! I am terribly happy that he is a GLOCK horse now and GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc just sounds phantastic.”
