Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet won the €100,000 Equita Masters presented by Equidia Life on Saturday October 29, 2016 in At Equita Lyon CSI5* Lyon, France.
20 riders that previously qualified on Friday took part in the 1.60 class over two rounds, and half of the combinations managed to complete the first round without picking up faults and advanced to the second round.
Wathelet rode the 12-year-old BWP stallion Eldorado van het Vijverhof (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) finishing in the fastest time of 34.40 seconds.
“I played the game and took a lot of risks,” said Wathelet “I am delighted that the horse has proved once again that he is in full form.”
