Hans-Dieter Dreher kicks off Madrid with a win…

The second edition of Madrid Horse Week began today at 12 am. It opened with a tour around the facilities by organizers and authorities, with the ceremonial ribbon cutting in company of Bertin Osborne and with a performance by the Royal Guard.

The German Hans-Dieter Dreher has won the ABC Trophy riding “Colore”. In the test with 1,45cm height and table Fault have taken part 84 pairs, ending 23 faultless. Over a second time has separated the German from the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano with “Admara 2″. The American Ashlee Bond was third with “Chela LS”. The best Spanish has been Pilar Cordon riding “Nuage Bleu”.

The Italian Eugenio Grimaldi shines in the “Ecuestre Trophy”

Eugenio Grimaldi riding “Womone” was the winner of the second class of the CSI2 * held today at 17:15. Eugenio Grimaldi did a terrific time stealing more than two seconds of the German Ignace Phillips who qualified second. Third was the Spanish rider David Uson Otaso with “Lord du Mont Milon” being the Spanish top-ranked ahead of Alvaro Sánchez Arcilla.

American Victory in the “MHW Trophy”

The second edition of Madrid Horse opened with the MHW Trophy. American riders dominated the first class. Hillary Mc Nerney won with “Oscar” and Alexandra Crown was third with her expert mare “Zafira”. Second was second was Jane Daves riding “Patrick”. The class was disputed under table Two Phases in which more than 30 pairs participated. The best Spanish riders were Jorge Tomas Duato with “Blitzer” and María Bela with “Allround”.
