2012 Olympic Bronze medalist Cian O’Connor has been named as one of the top contenders for Ireland with Quidam’s Cherie

Ireland’s show jumping team manager Robert Splaine today (Monday) announced a list of combinations for the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, France, where the jumping competitions take place from 2 – 7 September 2014.

Splaine said: ” At this point these are the main contenders being considered. However my decision will be announced in August, as other combinations may yet come into contention.”

The combinations named today were:

Billy Twomey/Diaghilev
Cian O’Connor/Quidam’s Cherie.
Dermott Lennon/Loughview Lou Lou (ISH)
Conor Swail/Lansdowne.
Bertram Allen/Molly Malone V
Cameron Hanley/Antello Z
Denis Lynch/All Star 5
