Jane Richard Philips has a thing about speed. She loves it. “I actually prefer supple, thoroughbred-type horses, even for the big competitions. I’m a woman and I’m also small so I can’t ride using force. Instead I use pace to ride my horses.” Usually very successful in this type of competition, this year she won the Longines Speed Challenge at the Los Angeles Masters.” I was lucky enough to compete in all three stages of the Masters Grand Slam Indoor, which was amazing.
