Jeroen and Utascha SFN won the 2012 FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Oslo, Norway
Jeroen Dubbeldam’s lovely mare Utascha SFN has been sold to Qatar. Today, Springpaarden Fonds Netherland announced that the talented mare has been sold to the Military Sports Association in Qatar.
Announcing the news, SFN made it very clear that this sale was a positive one made by the Dutch organization, ensuring that the sale of Utascha to Qatar was well within the objectives of their Fund.
Utascha, who is now 12 year old, has participated for the Netherlands in two European Championships in addition to the World Equestrian Games in 2010. In 2011, Utascha represented the Netherlands with Eric van der Vleuten and in 2013 the lovely mare was ridden by Jeroen Dubbeldam.
“The sale of Utascha fits entirely within the objectives of the Fund., We want to buy young horses that have the potential to overcome,” said Gerrit-Jan Swinkels, Director of the SFN.”[Utascha] is almost 13 years and now represents a significant value. So this was the right time for us to sell the mare. We are grateful for her tireless effort she has put not only by putting SFN on the map but also by keeping it on the map.”
