Jérome Guéry and Grand Cru Van De Rozenburg
The Belgian Equestrian Federation has confirmed its horse and rider show jumping selections for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Last year at the European Championships, Belgium failed to qualify an entire team to represent its nation in show jumping at Rio 2016, but it did earn the right to send two Belgian riders to compete as individuals.
Those individual horses and riders are:
Jérome Guéry with the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Grand Cru Van De Rozenburg (Malito De Reve x Duschesse Van De Rozenerg) that is owned by Guéry
Nicola Philippaerts with the 12-year-old KWPN stallion H&M Zilverstar Z (Berlin x Cavalier) that is owned by Stoeterij Dorperheide L Philippaerts Corcovado.
First reserve is Judy-Ann Melchior with the 14-year-old Zangersheide mare As Cold As Ice Z (Artos Z x Carthago Z)
Second reserve is Nicola Philippaerts with the 13-year-old Rheinlander stallion Bisquet Balou Z (Balou Du Rouet x Polydor) that is owned by Frans Lens.
