Do you like what we do here at NOELLE FLOYD and NOELLE FLOYD/style? Thanks, friend! Want to help us do it? Now’s your chance. (Cue “Lose Yourself” by Eminem.)
We are on the hunt for an organized, creative, experienced Managing Editor for our digital platforms and print magazine.
The ideal candidate has:
A deep understanding of equestrian sport – namely dressage, show jumping, and eventing. You might have been the weird horse guy/girl in middle school. You can definitely rattle off the horses you’d most like to steal and hide in your barn. (You also don’t have a criminal record.)
A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a writing and editing role.
Natural and proven ability as an editor. Know’s a grammer error when he/she seas them.
A writing style that is infused with confidence, wit, warmth and savvy.
Ability to work closely with a team in a collaborative fashion, while also managing your own time and meeting deadlines independently.
True awesomeness may take the place of one of the qualities listed above.
General responsibilities:
Schedule and execute daily flow of content on digital platforms.
Edit incoming stories for appropriateness, thoroughness, use of language, clarity, accuracy, sensitivity, and organization.
Help EIC generate story ideas for all platforms and match them with staff members or with freelancers, whether the piece is conceived for online or print.
Help devise and execute creative approaches to covering equestrian sport and lifestyle, far beyond the traditional story format.
To not cling to this list too tightly, as you’ll wear many hats.
This position is remote. Some travel and weekend work will be required.
