Jos Lansink out and Jos Verlooy in for Team Belgium…

The official trot-up took place this morning in Caen, France as we draw closer to the first day of competition at the Alltech World Equestrian Games for the Jumping phase of the Games. A surprising turn for the Belgian Team, Jos Lansink and Ensor de Litrange Lxii will not compete at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games this coming week.

It has been reported and confirmed that the horse was lunged, ridden and was very fit upon arrival in Caen. However, a later inspection of the horse revealed a change in the 10 year gelding’s condition. A consultation between the Chef d’Equipe, the team veterinarian and Jos Lansink this morning determined that it was in the interests of the team that Ensor not attend the veterinary inspection.

In such an instance, the Reserve rider is called upon to take the place of the fourth rider, unable to compete. The talented Jos Verlooy will now represent Belgium aboard Domino. Verlooy and Domino were members of the winning Nations Cup Team at CHIO Aachen in July.
