In the feature class of the day at the 2017 Autumn Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, France’s Julien Epaillard and the 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding Cristallo A LM ( Casall x Corofino I) bested a field of 40 to win the €24,600 1.45m class on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

The event took place in Olivia Nova, Spain, with Germany’s Christian Wiegand designing the 12-obstacle-course for the competition that counted towards the Longines Rankings. It also served as a qualifier for the €30,000 1.45m Grand Prix on Sunday.

The competition against the clock ended with Wiegand at the top of the podium, leading on the scoreboard with a speedy time of 60.07s.

In 2nd place, fellow countryman Harold Boisset and the 11-year-old Zangersheide mare Quolita Z (Quasimodo Z x Ramiro) finished in a time of 62.49s. In a time of 66.72s, Ireland’s Cameron Hanley and the 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Aiyetoro ( Concorde x Colino finished for 3rd.
