Lacrimoso HDC and Guccio return to competition…

It is now more than year since we saw the stunning black stallion Guccio, ridden by Edwina Tops-Alexander. His last appearance goes back to August of last year, at the Longines Global champions Tour of Valkenswaard. Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander, announced this week that the stunning mount, previously ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten, will compete at CSI2* of Bonheiden this weekend.

Formerly known as Vleut, Guccio began his international career with Maikel van der Vleuten in 2008 before moving to Edwina Tops Alexander in 2011. Shortly after beginning their partnership, Tops Alexander and Guccio won the 2011 Lyon Masters Grand Prix. The pair have had some great results since, placing highly in the 2012 La Coruña Grand Prix and Donetsk World Cup Qualifier, and the 2012 GCT Monaco Grand Prix. Guccio is owned by Guccio Gucci S.P.A.

Another anticipated return, will be of Haras de Coudrettes’ Lacrimoso HDC, who was injured in the final World Cup in Lyon. The talented mount of Patrice Delaveau, who caused buzz at the inaugural Hong Kong Masters in 2013 has resumed work and will be back in competition in the next few weeks.
