Update: the horses that Italy’s Lorenzo de Luca will compete this weekend in Leipzig, Germany has changed. Stephex Stables has updated his string for the World Cup event to Homer De Reve, Equita van ‘t Zorgvliet, Black Jack and Zoe II. Black Jack was previously ridden by Germany’s David Will and won the $34,000 G&C Farm 1. 45m Speed competition last season in Wellington, Florida during the eleventh week of competition at the Winter Equestrian Festival sponsored by Rolex.
Having joined Stephex Stables last month, Lorenzo will debut with new horses this weekend at the World cup event in Leipzig, Germany. Riding Torrey Pines’ Cesanna, the beautiful grey gelding that Lamaze won the Premio Land Rover Prix with at the CSI5* event in Rome, Italy last summer. In addition to Cesanna and his long time partner Zoe II, Lorenzo will also compete Balou De Coeur Joye, previously ridden by Japan’s Eiken Sato. The 9 year old Bay stallion saw success with Stephex Stables’ long time rider, winning Young Horse classes in Bonheiden, Belgium as well as competing at the Young Horse Championships in Lanaken, Belgium in 2012. Lorenzo is an exciting edition to the Stephex Stables Team and will no doubt enjoy an exciting 2015 season in association with the reputable Belgian Stable.
