Brazil’s Doda Miranda will be welcoming a new addition to the A&D Family next week. A&D Stables and Victory Equestrian have acquired the lovely Nouvelle Europe Z from Switzerland’s Faye Schoch. The 10 year old Zangersheide-bred mare has been recently competing in San Giovanni, Italy with her long-time Swiss rider Faye Schoch.”She is a once in a lifetime horse and I will really miss her” said Faye Schoch on location in San Giovanni. “But Doda and Athina run a fantastic stable and I couldn’t ask for better for her. I never intended to sell Nouvelle, but I think that Doda runs one of the best stables in the works.”
The pair earned plenty of attention late last year at CSI5* Geneva when they finished fifth in the Prix des Vins de Genève. The combination also represented Switzerland at the Nations Cup event in Bratislava last year. The pair have earned almost twenty international Grand Prix starts in the last 12 months, with impressive results including recently winning the CSI2* Grand Prix in Vilamoura.
“It is good because now I have an extra option for the World Equestrian Games in September” says Doda. “But I will not push her for it. I will start slowly, and see how we adapt to one another. Faye has ridden the mare since she was 6 years old. I was the first rider, other than Faye, to jump her in 4 years. So we will see how it goes.”
“We will maybe do one or two Global Champions Tour shows and if it is very good, Jean Maurice can decide closer to the time. She arrives to the stables on Wednesday and I am very excited. I hope that we can make a good combination together. I will possibly bring Nouvelle to Madrid as my second horse. That is the plan at the moment” said Doda.
