The year will end on a sweet note for Philipp Weishaupt of Germany, as it was announced that he will continue his partnership with the ten-year-old Holsteiner stallion LB Convall (Colman x Cascavelle).
The two have competed together on the rated circuit since July 2015, though talks of the stallion’s sale began to loom.
On Friday, December 22, 2017, Ludger Beerbaum Stables announced its purchase of LB Convall from Switzerland’s Hans Liebherr, securing the ride for Weishaupt, a Beerbaum employee.
Weishaupt and LB Convall most notably won the 2016 Rolex Grand Prix at CHIO Aachen and the CP International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows on September 10, 2017.
