There was something familiar about the serious expression on one leadliner’s face in the Lead Line class at Old Salem Farm on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Lily Ward, daughter of Longines FEI World Cup Champion and World No. 2 McLain Ward, took a turn around the arena with mom Lauren Ward, getting what might have been her first, between the ears look at the grand prix arena where her father has ridden to many wins, including the $35,000 Welcome Stake CSI3* just three days prior.
