Kent Farrington smiled and took a good-natured bow after crossing the finish line in dramatic style on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at the American Gold Cup CSI4*-W in Old Salem, NY, USA.
Farrington won the $216,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Grand Prix aboard Gazelle by completing the only, double clear performance of the day. A few strides after he crossed the finish line after the jumpoff, Gazelle spooked hard and came to a sudden, unexpected stop. The Rio Olympics silver medalist popped out of the saddle, landed on his feet, and kept one hand on the reins, proving that even when he takes a tumble, he does it in winning style.
