Pius Schwizer starts week off right at German Masters in Stuttgart….

After adding two exciting new mounts to his string this week, Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer won Thursday’s biggest class at the Stuttgart German Masters. The Preis der Firma Walter Solar Speed Competition was the first of two qualifications for the Mercedes German Masters event, and faults were converted into additional time. Riding the twelve year old gelding Armani The Gun CH, the Swiss rider clocked a time of 62.64 seconds to win the class.

Second place went to Germany’s very won Marco Kutscher on Cornet’s Cristallo with a time of 62.89 seconds. Third went to recent World Cup Grand Prix Qualifier winner Bertram Allen of Ireland on Belmonde.

The Preis der Bardusch Textil Mietdienste GmbH & Co. KG 1.45 competition was won by Ireland’s Shane Breen. Riding the lovely Calido Boy to a clear round in 59.39 seconds, the Irish rider was over a second faster than France’s Julien Epaillard on Pigmalion du Rozel. Third place went to American rider Laura Kraut riding the big bodied bay Wotsamillion.
