The talented 11 year old Holsteiner gelding who has been with Switzerland’s rising young talent, Martin Fuchs, since 2012, will now be seen with fellow countryman Pius Schwizer. Recent news saw Schwizer lose a number of star horses, but now it seems that Mr. Schildknecht has come to Schwizer’s side, offering the Olympian the ride on the ever-capable PSG Future. The talented mount took Fuchs to victory in Paris last year, winning the Gucci Grand Prix at the well-known Gucci Masters event. The pair earned a number of other accolades, including podium placings at the 2013 European Championships for Young Riders in Spain.
“I am of course very happy to have the opportunity to ride such a great horse and thank Mr. Schildknecht for his trust,” said Schwizer. “I think this is a horse with all possibilities.”
“I had four super years with Future and together we were able to achieve a lot,” said Fuchs on his website. “Our greatest successes were the GP wins of Paris and Helsinki. Moreover, we were 11th place at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas, the team gold and individual silver medal at the European Championships for Young Riders in 2013 in Spain and many more.”
“In total we won 580,000 francs and a lot of great memories. I wish Future, who has always given everything, only the best in the world and will always keep him in my heart as my ‘Futi’.”
PSG Future will arrive at Schwizer’s stables this week.
