Riders Make Predictions For Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen…

ERIC LAMAZE (CAN)
“There are a lot of possibilities; there are so many people who can win.  If I had to pick a favourite, it would either be Steve Guerdat, having just won at La Baule, or Kent Farrington, because he just won the Global Champions Tour at Hamburg.  Both are on good form, and could win the Rolex Grand Prix at Aachen on any given day.”

JEROEN DUBBLEDAM (NED)
“I have no idea – there are 14 riders here who can win the grand prix, in my opinion. You have Steve you have Ludger you have Kent, you have Beezie, so many good riders and good horses with good management; it’s an open game.”

BERTRAM ALLEN (IRL)
“I think Steve would have to be a good bet. He’s on incredible form this year and Nino showed how good and on formed he is just two weeks ago in La Baule!”

DI LAMPARD (TEAM GBR Chef D’Equipe)
“Don’t you know what’s going to come out of my mouth? Scott and Ben – in whichever order! It’s going to be a good, healthy competition tomorrow.”

DAVID WILL (GER)
“Of course, this is what makes it so hard here, that 40 of the 40 starters are able to win, there is nobody where you say ‘ok he is competing but he won’t be able to win’, but I think possibly that Kent Farrington with Voyeur has the biggest chance to win, in my opinion.”

MARTIN FUCHS (SUI)
“Beezie and Cortes, because the horse looked super today, he is going well, and Beezie is so good.”

LUCY DAVIS (USA)
“I would pick Beezie and Cortes. Cortes will be one of the nicest and most-well rested horses there, and Beezie is simply a legend.”

JOHN MADDEN (FEI JUMPING COMMITTEE)
“Oh, I don’t like to make picks. I don’t want to jinx anybody. The one that jumps the best!”

The €1,000,000 Rolex Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, May 31st at 1:15pm GMT. Of the 46 show jumping riders entered at the 2015 CHIO Aachen, 40 will start in the Grand Prix aboard the horse of their choosing, so long as they successfully completed a competition on May 30th at Aachen in order to qualify.
