World #1 Scott Brash has both his amazing mare Ursula XII leading the new WBFSH World Rankings but his Olympic Gold medal mount and Global Champions Tour season winning mount Hello Sanctos has jumped up one spot to sit in second behind Ursula XII.
In an incredibly impressive leap, Lord & Lady Kirkham and Lord & Lady Harris’ Ursula XII, jumped up from 791st position on the World Rankings to number one after a successful Winter Equestrian Festival season in Wellington, Florida. The 13 year old Scottish Sport mare earned almost half of her WBFSH points this season in Wellington, with impressive results in three top-ranking Grand Prix events. Three second place finishes including the CSI5* World Cup event pushed Ursula XII from 791st position to number one in the world.
Scott Brash’s Hello Sanctos jumped up from third position to second in the world after winning the final $500,000 CSI5* Grand Prix event in Wellington, Florida. With Scott Brash holding onto his number one position on the Longines World Rankings, Scott’s team are certainly leading the charge as we draw closer to the FEI World Cup Finals in Lyon next week. Scott Brash finished the 2013 Global Champions Tour season as a Champion, winning the Grand Prix of Doha and the 2013 GCT Championship title. Landing him the World #1 position; a title he has been able to keep for five straight months.
The 2014 Global Champions Tour season will kick off this year in Antwerp, Belgium this month and with Ursula XII and Hello Sanctos placed #1 and #2 on the World WBFSH Rankings, one can be sure Scott will have every intention of defending his Global Champions Tour Championship title.
