Following the third leg in Madrid (ESP), Britain’s Scott Brash has taken back the lead of the Longines Global Champions Tour. However, as its early on in this year’s Global Champions Tour season, only small margins differentiate the Top 10 riders thus far. With a total of 73 points, Brash leads the rankings ahead of Portugal’s Luciana Diniz on 69 points. In third position is Qatar’s Bassem Hassan Mohammed, carrying 66 points, while Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher sits in fourth position with 59 points. USA’s Laura Kraut is fifth on the Global Champions Tour rankings with 58 points. Canada’s Eric Lamaze sits in sixth position with a total of 56 points after two legs of the GCT season complete. France’s Roger Yves Bost holds onto seventh position with 52 points while USA’s Kent Farrington sits in 8th position with the same number of points. Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer is ninth while his fellow countrywoman Jane Richard Philips and Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, share tenth place, both on a total of 44 points.
