Recent Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen winner, Scott Brash, is very unsurprisingly still atop the Longines World Rankings this month as World No.1. The Peebles-native lost his lead of the World Rankings in April to Germany’s Daniel Deusser, only to take it back again following his victory in Miami, USA as part of the Longines Global Champions Tour. Now, Brash takes his 18th non-consecutive month as World No.1, having to start back from scratch as he hopes to take Marcus Ehning’s record title for longest standing World No.1 Rider; at 18 consecutive months.
The other to impress on the World Rankings this month is Ireland’s Bertam Allen, who has jumped up from 11th position in the World to World No.5, making the 18 year old the youngest by a long shot in the World Top 10. Germany’s Deusser remains strong at World No.2 while USA’s Kent Farrington, following his tremendous victory in Madrid, is loitering with threat as the top US-ranked rider looks to make this summer season his best yet.
