On day three of the CP National Horse Show CSI4*-W in Kentucky, USA, 25 international horse and rider combinations vied for top honors in the $35,000 Palm Beach Masters Series International Open Jumpers Speed CSI4*.

USA’s Jessica Springsteen and new mount Volage Du Val Henry, an eight-year-old Selle Francais mare (Quidam de Revel SF x Cassini I), ended the class atop the leaderboard with a winning time of 65.00s on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

The two first competed together on the rated circuit in May, with this marking their first victory together. Volage was previously ridden by Italy’s Alberto Zorzi, who took up the ride from Australia’s Edwina Tops Alexander in 2016.

Second place went to USA’s Andrew Ramsay and the ten-year-old KWPN mare Cocq A Doodle (Tolan R x Niagara ), who finished in a converted time of 65.530s.

The faults converted speed class saw USA’s Devin Ryan and the ten-year-old KWPN gelding Cooper ( Unaniem x Baloubet Du Rouet) post one of the fastest times as 10th in the order-of-go. They finished in an eventual 3rd place in 66.31s.
