Switzerland’s Alain Jufer Pilots Casall to Victory in €24,600 Grand Prix Qualifier at Morocco Royal Tour CSI3*

In week two of the Morocco Royal Tour, Switzerland’s Alain Jufer and the 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding Casall (Casall x Cantus) bested a field of 59 to win the 1.45m, €24,600 Grand Prix Qualifier.

The competition took place in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday, October 13, 2017. In a rare occasion, Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano, riding the ten-year-old Westphalian stallion Quinn Van De Heffinck (For Pleasure x Concetto), and Switzerland’s Nadja Peter Steiner, riding the 13-year-old Holsteiner mare Celeste 26 (Casall x Landgraf I), tied for a 2nd place finish with an equal time of 65.14s.

Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer and the 11-year-old CH gelding Leonardo De La Ferme CH finished on zero faults in a time of 65.78 for 4th place. Ahmad Saber Hamcho of the Syrian Arab Republic finished in 5th place with the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding Quintus 81, and Sweden’s Linda Heed and the eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Jarvis Van D Abelendreef finished in 6h place.

Riders were aiming to qualify for the €61,800 Grand Prix, the feature event of the week set to take place on Sunday.
