Schwizer and Toulago at the 2014 Alltech World Equestrian Games for Switzerland
Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer and his top horse Toulago have parted ways this week. The horse owner, Karin Haber, has decided to remove the ten year old Oldenburg gelding from Schwizer’s stables in Oensingen, Switzerland this week while the Swiss Olympian has been competing at Antwerp’s Global Champions Tour event. It seems to be the end of a successful two year partnership, which resulted in a 2014/15 Longines FEI World Cup victory for the pair in January and a crowning of Toulago as 2014 Swiss Horse of the Year in Zurich that same week.
“I very much regret to see Toulago leave my stables. I look back on various great results with him and would like to say a big thank you to his owner for letting me ride this awesome horse. I wish Toulago all the very best for his future in show-jumping!”
