Longines Global Champions Tour/Global Champions League Miami Beach

  • The Prague Lions are officially on the League series board after a thrilling win in Miami. The efforts of U25 rider Anna Kellnerova and Gerco Schröder advanced them from their 3rd place position after Day 1 to the top of the standings at the conclusion of Saturday’s Final. The Prague Lions currently sit 2nd overall in the League Team Standings after their victory on the beach.
  • Edwina Tops-Alexander had a major winning weekend on the beach capturing the Longines Grand Prix of Miami with her 11-year-old Dutch mare California. Her second win of this particular grand prix (her first being in 2016), #QueenE now joins Scott Brash as one of the first to qualify for the Longines Global Champions Super Grand Prix at the new GC Prague Play Offs in December!

Toscana Tour-Arezzo CSI4* (Arezzo, Italy)

  • Italy’s Bruno Chimirri continued to dominate on home turf. Chimirri and his 11-year-old stallion Tower Mouche now boast two grand prix victories while competing at the Toscana Tour, their first being the CSI3* on March 18th.

Grand Prix Z Tour-Lanaken CSI3* (Lanaken, Belgium)

  • Out of 50 original starters, only nine qualified for the jump-off of the 1.50m Grand Prix. France’s Romain Potin who jumped to victory aboard Impressario vd Heffinck. “He’s a horse that has always been present at key moments of my career,” Poutin describes the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood. “He brought me to the title of French Champion Pro 1 in 2016 and to participations in my first CSIO. He has a special place in my stake.”

Zilveren Spoor-Moorsele CSI3* (Moorsele, Belgium)

  • The first international outdoor of the year was a success with Belgian local Rik Hemeryck coming out on top, speeding to the win on the 11-year-old Tum Play du Jouas in a blistering time of 37.93 seconds.

“My top horse Clooney had to be emergency operated on colic last night. At the Zurich Animal Hospital, Prof. Dr. Prince and his team, with the help of Dr. Marco Hermann the procedure, which went without complications. Clooney is on his legs again after general anesthesia. The first days after surgery are important for his healing process. We all keep our fingers crossed for my darling and hope for a full recovery.”
