The opening day of competition at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Antwerp is upon us and the first leg of the 2014 season will welcome many of the World’s Top 20 riders this week. Fans and followers will be able to watch all the action LIVE on GCT LIVE TV. “I’m really looking forward to the season and I will do my best to achieve what I did last year” says Scott Brash, current World #1 and last year’s GCT Season Champion.
This Saturday, the first CSI5* GCT Grand Prix will take place in the heart of Antwerp, and we can expect some great combinations as they vy for the first GCT Grand Prix title of the 2014 season.

Dutch rider Gerco Schröder withdrew from the competition due to the Eurocommerce auction that took place a few weeks ago. Schroder was replaced by Britain’s Michael Whitaker. Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya has replaced Maikel van der Vleuten, who is fresh off a terrific performance at the World Cup Finals in Lyon, France last week. Top ranked Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet, who will represent the host nation this week, is excited about this week’s world-class competition;”I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to compete against the World Top 30 in Antwerp.”
