Top Eventers & Show Jumpers on the Same Kentucky Bluegrass: Impressive Entries for the Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix Are Announced

It’s not too often that we see top show jumpers and top eventers in the same habitat. It’s a bit more common, for instance, to see dressage and show jumpers crossing paths at the same show – like in Wellington or at the World Cup Finals, for instance. But this year, during the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event on April 28, faces like Kent Farrington, Margie Engle, Aaron Vale, Daniel Coyle, Eugenio Garza and many more will descend upon the Kentucky Horse Park.

The integration of show jumping alonside this CCI4* horse trials is new this year, and follows the ending of Rolex’s title sponsorship of the event in 2017. Organized in part by the Split Rock Jumping Tour, the show jumping will kick off with the $35,000 Welcome Speed Cup 1.45m on Friday, April 27 at 6 p.m. EST, followed by the $225,000 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational 1.60m Grand Prix on Saturday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. EST. This means that while cross-country wraps up on Saturday afternoon, spectators can wander over to the stadium to watch these show jumpers take on Rio Olympic course designer Guilherme Jorge’s Grand Prix.
