The Stars and Stripes played over the La Baule CSIO5* grounds twice on Friday morning, as Lillie Keenan picked up the a win in the first class of the day, a and Reed Kessler won the Prix Bouyeges Immobilier ahead of the afternoon’s CSIO Nations Cup.
Kessler rode Soraya De L’Obstination, an SBS mare (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Skippy II) to the win, topping France’s leading lady rider Penelope Leprevost over a field of more than 60 riders.
Speed was required in the single round class, and Kessler proved best in a time of 67.19 seconds over Leprevost and Nayana in 67.85 seconds. Jerome Hurel of France rode to 3rd place aboard Urano.

Early on Friday morning in the first class of the day, Lillie Keenan rode Be Gentle to first place in the FFE Top Jeunes Talents AC Print under 25 class. She placed ahead of Ireland’s Michael Duffy with Felix XXVIII. Camille Conde Ferreira was 3rd for France.
