The CSI5* Lenz Moser Challenge Trophy was won by 2014 World Chamionship Team Gold medallist Jur Vrieling (NED) with Flash Dance V. Kalevallei, who produced a neat and classy round in the two-phase competition to push Pius Schwizer (SUI) with Rafale Des Forets and Samuel Parot (CHI) with Sensation 21 into 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Yesterday’s double winner Denis Lynch (IRE) finished 4th with Double O Seven having led the way for a good portion of the class.

Of the 30 starters, 13 jumped clean around the Frank Rothenberger course, which was built for attacking with the option of a few brave turn-backs if the combination were gunning for a win. Some of the top riders brought out their potential stars of the future – Scott Brash (GBR) with Hello Sunshine, Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) with VDL Groep Arera C, and Athina Onassis de Miranda with AD Crosshill.

Looking ahead to tonight’s Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna Grand Prix presented by Icuras, Ranking Leader Ludger Beerbaum (GER) is on fantastic form after another top three finish in the Gaston Glock Championat Vienna last night. Though Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) is the only rider who can overtake Beerbaum on the leaderboard here in Vienna, the attention is on World No1 Scott Brash (GBR) who is storming up the ranks. A win tonight would put him on the path to defending his Championship title.

You can watch round 13 of this year’s 14-leg Championship, the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna Grand Prix presented by Icuras, tonight on GCT TV, ORF Sport +, ClassHorseTV and Equidia Life from 6.30pm CEST, and on Eurosport and beIN Sports 4 from 9pm CEST.
