Meet Ian

Ian Millar is one of the most decorated show jumpers in Canadian history. He competed in ten Olympic Games, earned multiple Pan American Games medals, and was the first rider to win back‑to‑back World Cup Finals. After retiring from international competition he continues to teach at Millar Brooke Farm, working with riders of all levels alongside his children, Amy and Jonathon. Ian believes that the test of true horsemanship is being at home on your horse, through balanced movement, confident seat, and steady presence.
